The Colts overcame a poor start to pool play to go 3-2 on the weekend and finish in 2nd place. The Colts started bracket play with two nearly flawless games before falling to the Rough Riders in the championship game.

The Colts had mixed success over the weekend splitting pool play and losing the first game Sunday in a rain soaked, shortened game.

Jersey Night

The Colts had some fun at a recent practice where the players were asked to wear their favorite team's jersey. As you can see, some Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, TCU Horned Frogs, and Texas Aggies were in attendance.

Shreveport Super NIT Wrap-Up

The Colts started off strong with a win against the Jackson 96ers and a tie against the Monroe Bulldogs. The team was put out of the tournament in a wild 18-10 game where the Colts started hot only to see the La. Thunder come back and win the game in extra innings.

Triple Crown Wrap-Up

The coaches want to congratulate the players for their effort and play this weekend. For a team just coming together for their second tournament, we are getting better quickly. Finishing in the top 8 against some very good teams is a good sign this early in the season. While it wasn’t the result we all wanted, it definitely shows that we have a team that is capable of very good play.

The Colt 45's started off the spring 2012 season with a bang. The team stayed perfect through the Nac tourney going 5-0 and outscoring their opponents 43-5.

North Texas Season Opener

The Colt 45's are playing in the Triple Crown North Texas Season Opener on March 3-4 in the Dallas Metroplex.

In 2011, the tournament featured 227 Teams and a big turnout is expected again this year.

Longview Super Series Tourney

The Colt 45's are playing in the Longview Super Series "Put Me In Coach" tournament on April 30-May 1st.

The Colts will face the Nitros at 12:00pm and the ET Vipers at 1:45pm on Saturday. Both games are at McWhorter Park, Bill Owens Field.

TC Metroplex Season Opener

Pool play game times for the Triple Crown Metroplex Season Opener have been posted.

The Colts will face the Southlake Dragons at 8am and the Dallas Tigers (Krowka) at 10am on Saturday. Games will be at Oak Grove Park, 2520 Oak Grove Loop S., Grapevine, TX [map].

The Colt 45's played well in their first tournament of the spring. They were able to win the championship with a thrilling come-from-behind, extra-innnigs, victory over the Diamond Jaxx 5-4.

UPDATE: The Colts will face the Tyler Mustangs at 5pm and the East Texas Patriots at 6:45pm during pool play on Saturday.
